Cloudwater! Last year we visited the barrel room. @cloudwaterunit9 is a definite upgrade! The space is so light and a great place for beer photos. The tap list was very interesting so I had a few tasters and thirds here.

Meet me at the Kriek by @cellarmakerbrewing
6.8% Oak Aged Lambic
Oak forward. Clear red with a tinted pink head.Oak aroma with very subtle bitter cherry. Tart, dry, oak up front leading to sour cherry that takes the edge off.
4.5/5 ————————————-
Slow & Rosehip Sour by @cloudwaterbrew
6.3% Sour Ale
Fruit forward. Rose pink with a low white head. Fruity aroma, some floral. Fizzy, rosehip up front then bitter sloe. Tart.
3.75/5. The sloe was just a little too bitter for me.

Barry from Finance by @cloudwaterbrew & @theveilbrewing
8% Imperial IPA
Hop forward. Murky yellow with a low white head. Juice aroma – passion fruit. Fruity body with a bitter finish.
3.5/5 not harsh as expected, but not for me.

Red Wine BA Chocolate Porter by @cloudwaterbrew
11% Imperial Porter
Red wine forward. Brown, no head. Red wine barrel aroma. Full flavour, thin body. Chocolate then a heavy boozy hit from the barrel.
3.75/5. Bit too harsh for an afternoon session!

Marzen @cloudwaterbrew
5.2% Marzen
Malt forward. Clear dark orange, thick lacing white head. Cereal malt aroma, sweet. Carbonated. Sweet, creamy malt cereal body. Solid.
4/5. This was a good solid beer, but my fave Marzen is Sam Adams Octoberfest and it’s not quite up to that.

Seguíme!
