I learned a lot while at @wildcardbrewery on Friday. I had decided to do a homebrew this weekend anyway, but from speaking to @galswithgrains and joining in the fun of IWCBD I git some great tips.
I’m working on a 1 gallon stove top kit. I’ve brewed from kits before but decided to take the plunge and brew from a recipe this time. I have also only done dark beers before so decided to go for something pale this time.
You are looking at a cranberry saison with ginger, orange peel, coriander and black pepper. It’s got hallertau and east Kent golding hops in it and I used a Belgium saison yeast.
The brew is currently bubbling away happily under the kitchen table wrapped in a blanket to keep it warm. It should be ready to rack in 14-21 days. I’ll keep you posted!
