Women’s Pint Club Bottle Share!
After our Old Dairy Brewery tasting, we carried on our beery afternoon by sharing a few brews we had brought along as well. This was my first bottle share and I think we had an interesting mix of beers. We tried a few I’ve had before, so here are the reviews for the new and notable ones I tried:
White Noise – White beer by Yeastie Boys
Orange blossom forward. Lemon yellow, hazy, creamy white head. Orange blossom and coconut aroma – like Savlon! Light, medicinal taste with the mix of coconut and orange blossom. I little odd.
Electric Blue – Scottish sour ale with blueberry and lavender – Brewdog Overworks
Funk and blueberry forward. Hazy gold with a creay white head. Sour aroma with funky blueberry and honey. Tart and sour up front with a light blueberry body and a lingering lavender finish.
I loved this and wanted to share with the others, but it’s an acquired taste! One other lady enjoyed it, but as you can see from the photos, some did not! The Thornbridge Florida Weisse with raspberry went down better and it went well with the Italian biscuits Doreen made.
Pride & Joy – Pale Ale by Vocation
Hop forward. Hazy lemon, some sediment, rocky pure white head. Citrusy hop aroma – lemon and mango. Bitter up front, resin, crisp finish.
